Graphic Design

Web Design

I left my home in rural Wisconsin (the land of cheese), to pursue a career in commercial diving. I moved to Seattle in 2007 and discovered an enthusiasm for graphic design. I obtained a Publishing Arts certification and then a Graphic Design degree. I am eager to use my graphic design skills and creativity.

NW Public Radio Logo

The logo redesign for North West Public Radio is a modern approach using established symbols. The concept was to appeal to a larger and younger audience, while maintaining their identity as a reliable source for news and strong classical music programming.
The nostalgic look is referenced by using a customized version of the classic typeface Futura.

Magazine Layout

Backpacker magazine redesign. I used an untraditional magazine layout style to emphasize the rugged exploration that is common in backpacking.
I wanted the magazine to stand out as well as intrigue the viewer to want to see more.

JQuery Mobile App

My Target wine review app allows shoppers to pair a Target wine with a meal or search recent reviews of preferred wine and meal choices. The app would also show current and upcoming sales as well as give Target discounts for posting reviews or comments.
I built this minimum viable product using the new jQuery Mobile touch-optimized web framework for smartphones & tablets on a WordPress CMS.
