Graphic Design

I became smitten with graphic design after realizing it had all the things I ever wanted in a career — creativity, teamwork, brainstorming, constant growth, constant learning, and people! I enjoy successful visual, written, and verbal communication and I relish those beautiful moments in which the right message connects with the right audience.

Seattle Sockeye

Branding — Seattle's premier men's ultimate frisbee club needed a new identity that reflected their high level of play and athleticism in an international arena, while conveying sportsmanship, integrity, and community. The new Sockeye logo and accompanying collateral represent the team's growing maturity as well as that of ultimate frisbee itself.

The Target "Want It!" App for iPhones

Concept, UI/UX — Val Maughmer and I created a mobile app concept that focuses on female shoppers and addresses two problems: out-of-stock items and customers on the fence about making a purchase. Scanning capabilities allow the customer to easily buy the absent item on the spot or save the item info for an easy, later purchase.

Men's Health Magazine

Branding, Magazine Layout — I gave this long-standing publication a refresh with a clean, modern feel by utilizing a tall, condensed typeface for its title and creating more white space in the interior. The result is cool and toned down, while maintaining strength and masculinity.
